Inclusion Criteria
1)Patients diagnosed with First Episode MDD
as per DSM-5 (International Classification of
Diseases 10th edition â?? Diagnostic Criteria for
Research)
2) Either gender
3) Age between 18 to 55 years
Exclusion Criteria
1) Patients with morbid obesity (BMI >35),
comorbid alcohol, tobacco, cannabis or an￾other drug dependence
2) Patients with current active infections such as
tuberculosis or COVID-19
3) Comorbid autoimmune diseases
4) Pregnant and lactating women
5) Pre-existing endocrine disorders
6) Pre-existing chronic illness like diabetes, hypertension, hepatic and renal disease, connective tissue diseases, malignancies
7) Individuals who are already practicing some
