1.Open fractures of the tibia where primary closure of the wound is not possible. (Wound size should be between minimum 5cm and maximum 10cm in any dimension)
2.Fractures exposed by the wounds are included in the study.
3.Only acute trauma cases were included in the study.
4.The patient must be giving consent for NPWT or conventional saline dressing.
1.Comminuted fracture with more than three fragments are excluded from the study
2.A chronic wound or ulcer
3.Neurological disorders like Charcot arthropathy
4.Systemic disorders like Collagen vascular disease, Malignancy, Immunodeficiency, Haematological Disease, Diabetes Mellitus.
5.Radiotherapy patient.
6.Patient in sepsis
