Bordetella pertussis serology in pregnancy.

- This study is to study prospectively the incidence of B.pertussis infection in pregnant women in the Groene Hart Hospital in Gouda, the Netherlands. Therefore bloodsamples will be taken from the mother at 12 weeks gestation, at delivery and 2 months after delivery. Also cord blood will be collected at delivery. In these blood samples IgG against pertussis toxin and IgA against whole cell B.pertussis will be measured (RIVM). Also the mothers will be asked to fill in questionaires.
