Inclusion Criteria
Adults aged 18 years or more with
Open tibial shaft fractures( grade 2 and grade 3a ) amenable for intramedullary nailing and
with intact distal neurovascular status in affected limb
Exclusion Criteria
closed tibial shaft fractures and
open tibial shaft fractures not suitable for intramedullary nailing and
if patient is pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study.
•If patient has a known allergy to aminoglycosides.
