Pupils of public elementary schools selected for the study in the province of Camiguin Island and Gingoog City (Misamis Oriental, Mindanao)
Exclusion Criteria
Children with other systemic diseases were excluded from the study at the time of recruitment

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method ongitudinal Cohort Study with a total duration of 4 years (2010-2013), Data collection at baseline and after each year respectively (in August). Based on the study protocol the following data is collected: basic socio-demographic data (age, sex, number of siblings etc - questionnaire), anthropometric data (height, weight - clinical measurement), oral health status (DMFT, DMFS, PUFA Index - clinical examination), parasitologic status (infection with soil-transmitted helminths, worm load - laboratory testing), simple quality of life data (questionnaire)
