single or multiple pregnancy (after 28th week of pregnancy)
- no known risks or complications
- german language
- signed consent
- 18 years or older
Exclusion Criteria
- hearing deficits
- severe comorbidities
- known illnesses of the fetus
- anxiety disorders or other psychological disorders
- physical or cognitive impariments

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - evaluation of the effect of singing or music listening on maternal well-being and mother-infant bonding<br>- evaluation of the effect of singing or music listening on well-being of the newborn<br><br>There will be 4 time points for measurements (recruitment between 28th and 32nd week of pregnancy; at the end of the intervention-sessions in the 36th week of pregnancy; the day after birth; 2 months after birth)<br><br>The following questionnaires will be used:<br>- BIG 5 Personality Questionnaire<br>- STAI Trait + State<br>- Visuelle Analogue scales<br>- Scale evaluating self-eficiancy<br>- life satisfaction<br>- Prenatal/Postnatal Bonding<br>- Depressionscale<br>- Childbirth Expecience Questionnaire (CEQ)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - comparing birth experience and outcome (sata taken from medical records) between the study arms <br>- comparing singing to music listening (on all dependent variables)<br>- evaluation of stress with clinical and medical parameters (skin conductance, stress hormones, vital signes; during the intervention sessions)<br>- comparing postnatal parameters of the newborn between the study arms<br>- satisfaction with the intervention (at 36th week of pregnancy and 2 months after birth)<br>- direct influence of the music and singing intervention (pre and post measures of cortisol levels and questionnaires)<br>- role of the father (questionnaires at 36th week of pregnancy and 2 months after birth)
