1.Patients meeting the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia in DSM-5
2.CGI score of <= 3 as per treating psychiatrist
3.Males and females between 18 and 45 years
4.Patients without significant extrapyramidal Symptoms with SAS Score of <= 3
5.Patients in whom dose or the antipsychotic has not been changed over the last 6 weeks
6.Able to read, write and speak Kannada or English
7.Patients amenable to neuro-cognitive testing
8.Patients amenable or suitable for the particular yoga/ physical exercise
9.Patient and guardian who are willing to give consent for participation in the study
1.Patients with co-morbid psychiatric diagnosis
2.Patients currently using psychoactive substance other than nicotine in dependence pattern over the last three months
3.Patients not amenable to neuro-cognitive testing due to poor comprehension or attention span.
4.Patients not amenable or suitable for the particular yoga/ physical exercise due to body structure, joint pains, respiratory difficulties etc.
5. Patients with significant extrapyramidal symptoms SAS score >=4
6. Patients with any uncontrolled physical comorbidity
7. Patients not consenting for the study

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method euro-cognitive functioning, quality of life and soci-occupational functioning.Timepoint: Yoga group will receive 6 weeks of yoga therapy and will be assessed at baseline, at 3 weeks and at the end of 6 week period. <br/ ><br>wait-list group will receive yoga therapy after 6 weeks of waiting period. This group will also undergo 6 weeks of yoga therapy after the waiting period is over. They will be assessed at baseline, 3 weeks, 6 weeks (at the completion of waiting period), 9 weeks (during the yoga therapy) and 12 weeks (at the completion of yoga therapy). <br/ ><br>
