Prevalence of thyroid autoantibodies among first-degree relatives of patients with autoimmune thyroid disease was 45.8%. The significant risk factors that related to detect the thyroid autoantibodies were ages, female, menarche, smoking, family history of sons or daughters had AITD and thyroid goiter.
