Assessing The Effectiveness Of Hand-Arm Bimanual Intensive Therapy (HABIT) Versus Robotic Hand Therapy (RHT) In Improving Fine Motor Control And Quality Of Life Among Stroke Survivors - A Comparative Study

Impaired fine motor control of the hand is a common consequence of stroke and significantly impacts functional independence and quality of life. Hand-Arm Bimanual Intensive Therapy (HABIT) and Robotic Hand Therapy (RHT) are widely used and effective rehabilitation approaches for improving hand function after stroke. However, differences in treatment delivery time, clinical feasibility, and resource requirements highlight the need for comparison. The purpose of this trial is to compare the effects of HABIT and RHT on fine motor control and quality of life in stroke survivors to support efficient and evidence-based rehabilitation planning.

入选标准

  • Patients diagnosed with single history of supratentorial stroke and are medically stable Age: 45 years to 75 years Montreal Cognitive Assessment: Greater than or equal to 21 or 22 Brunnstrom’s Hand Recovery Stage: Greater than or equal to 4 Modified Ashworth Scale: 1 and 1 plus and 2.

排除标准

  • No history of other neurological conditions like movement disorders and cerebellar dysfunctions.
  • No history of other Upper Extremity MSK conditions or CVD No history of Upper Extremity surgery or Upper Extremity BOTOX which interferes with result of the study.
