- Brief Summary
Hemorrhoids are one of the most common benign anorectal problemsworldwide. Hemorrhoidectomy remains the most definitive procedure for treatinghemorrhoidal disease. Various techniques for excision are available. Numerouscontrolled studies have already demonstrated that satplerhemorrhoidopexy isassociated with less postoperative pain and quicker recovery. Motivated byresults of these studies, we decided to conduct an observational study inFather Muller Medical College Hospital, Mangalore to compare the short termresults of stapler hemorrhoidopexy and Milligan-Morgan in terms ofpost-operative pain, operating time. Our aim was to contribute to the literaturewith this study.
