Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1) All elective patients admitted for surgical repair of cardiovascular disease.
  • •2) Male, Female patients above 18 years of age
  • •3) subjects ready to give written informed consent
  • •4) subjects willing to follow up till 3 months after the intervention

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1) Subjects with history of or current neurological or psychiatric impairment, or cognitive dysfunction that could compromise data collection
  • •2)Subject with severe respiratory or cardiac compromise
  • •3) Subjects with severely deranged renal or hepatic function or active infection
  • •4) Subjects with postoperative complications
  • •(delayed extubation or prolonged ventilation beyond 48 hours)that may jeopardize the study outcome.
