简要总结

This is a prospective, Observation study conducted in Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical are , Gauhati Medical College and Hospital . The study will be carried out in the post operative caesarean section patients who has postdural puncture headache. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasound guided greater occipital nerve block as a therapeutic modality for the treament of postdural puncture headache in patients undergoing spinal anaesthesia after caesarean section. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasound guided greater occipital nerve block using Visual Analog Score.

入选标准

  • ASA score II 2) Term gestation 37-42 weeks 3) Caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia 4) All spinal anaesthesia done with 25G needle Quincke needle 5) Informed and written consent provided.

排除标准

  • Refusal of patient to take part in the study 2) Meningitis, encephalitis , migraine 3) Neuralgia , chronic headache 4) Cerebrovascular diseases, haemorrhage, intracranial tumours 5) Pre-eclampsia , vertebral column anomalies , renal, hepatic ,cardiac diseases.
  • Blood diathesis 7) Seizure disorder.
