- •Contra-indications for ertapenem:
- •There are few adverse effects of ertapenem. The only absolute contra-indication is a previous anaphylactic reaction to ertapenem or other ß-lactam antibiotic.
- •Renal Insufficiency, defined by a eGFR of 30ml/min
- •Body weight < 40 kg

Pharmakokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Acetaminophen( paracetamol i.v) in NeonatesWe want to determine the optimal loading dose of intravenous Acetaminophen in neonates of different gestational age subgroups.To this effect a loading dose of 10mg/kg, 15mg/kg or 20mg/kg Acetaminophen will beadministered to neonates with a gestational age of 24 –42 weeks when they need to endurea mild painful procedure.
