Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Classical signs and symptoms of Santarpanottha prameha described in Ayurvedic classics as well as modern science Patient having classical signs and symptoms of the diasease as per Ayurveda as well as modern science like Avila Mutrata (turbidity)Prabhuta mutrata Mutra Madhuryata (glycosuria) Pipasa Adhikya Kshudha Adhikya Swedadhikya (perspiration) Angagandha (bad odour) Nidra Adhikya Kara Pada Suptata Hasta Pada Tala Daha Patients of Prameha having BMI >=25 to <=35(as per WHO it is considered as obese person)Patients of NIDDM with blood F.B.S. >=126 mg/dl or P.P.B.S. >= 200mg/dl Age group of 32 to 70 years Diabetes chronicity <10 years Patient otherwise healthy and fit for Basti therapy

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients of Prameha having BMI < 25 & >35 Patients of Type-1 Diabetes or the patients of Type-2 Diabetes taking Insulin Patients having history of any major complications of Diabetes like Nephropathy Retinopathy Diabetic Foot Carbuncles etc Age <32 and > 70 years Patients having history of Diabetes in association with other endocrinopathies like Hyperthyroidism etc Patients having history of drug or chemical induced Type-II Diabetes like glucocorticoids induced or thyroid hormone induced etc Patients having history of any Cardiovascular diseases Renal diseases or any other disease effecting multiple body systems and pregnant women etc
