- To study the microorganism culture profile in GICU in blood , ETT or tracheostomy tube secretions,urine , blood and cvp tip culture.

简要总结
We will be taking culture specimens from different sites for example blood, urine, endotracheal tube secretions or tracheostomy tube secretions,cvp tip .Specimens will be collected from patients who will be admitted in GICU with endotracheal tube in situ within 24 hours of admission or inctubated in GICU itself or with tracheostomy tube in situ for 5 to 15 days.Samples will be sent and processed in department of microbiology in IGMC, Shimla for isolation of microorganisms and their antibiotic susceptibility and resistance will be done .Also correlation will be seen between empirical antibiotics and antibiotic sensitivity in culture report and correlation of microorganism profile between different cultures.

入选标准
- •Adults with endotracheal tube in situ for more than 24 hrs or with tracheostomy tube for 5 to 15 days.
排除标准
- •Patients admitted and intubated for more than 24 hours and then taken in GICU .
- •Patients on tracheostomy tube for more than 15 days.

时间窗: The microorganism culture profile will be assessed in 2-3 days after the collection
次要结局
- To study antibiotic susceptibility pattern of microorganism isolated.(One year after approval from ethical committee)
