- •exacerbation COPD and/or pneumonia
- •admitted on the lung ward
- •using oxygen, no less than 1 litre/minute
Exclusion Criteria
- •acute hypercapnia or acidosis,
- •pneumothorax
- •domestic use of Bi\-pap or C\-pap
