Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\) Patients undergoing thyroid surgery at Department of Surgery in Showa University Northern Yokohama Hospital
  • •2\) Patients who are 18 years of age or older at the time of informed consent.
  • •3\) Patients who have given written informed consent to participate in this study.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\) Patients who undergo mediastinal lymphadenectomy.
  • •2\) Patients who undergo thoracoscopic assisted operation.
  • •3\) Patients in whom placement of a drain is difficult for some reason.
  • •4\) Patients judged to be ineligible by the investigator's judgment.
