Traumatic dental injuries occurfrequently in children and young adults, comprising 5% of all injuries whichare critical from aesthetic purpose as well as financially burdening.
The prevalence of traumaticdental injuries to anterior teeth among children has been found to vary greatlyacross different age group.
Reported & treated promptly,traumatized teeth can have better prognosis, protecting children fromcomplications including tooth loss & psychological deficit. So, the study is planned toassess pattern of dental injuries & treatment needs
in developing years of children.
The data of the study beingconducted will be collected from parents/ guardians after taking their consent using a standardized record sheet questionnaire, history will be recorded followed by clinical and radiographic examination
wherever required willbe done to obtain information.
The following informationwill be collected during the clinical examination: number of traumatized teethand type of tooth / teeth involved, type of dental trauma and vitality of thetraumatized tooth/ teeth
Treatment will be planned andcarried out in the department of pediatric and preventive dentistry based onthe findings of the clinical and radiographic examination and data will be analyzedstatistically.
These children who will beassessed for traumatic dental injuries will be divided into 3 groups-
Group A - 0 to 5 years Group B - 6 to 9 years Group C - 10 to 14 years
These children will also beassessed on the basis of whether the treatment was received, neglected or havecome up to seek treatment.

- •1.Children between age group 0 to 14 years.
- •All the patients reporting to the department OPD with traumatic Dental injuries will be included in the study for duration of 6 months.
- •Children assessed on the basis of whether treatment was received, neglected o have come up to seek treatment.
