Inclusion Criteria

For the study children and their parents will be included only when:
- Child protective services (in Dutch: Bureau Jeugdzorg) is involved to guard the safety within the system and to underline the urgency of treatment.
- Parents give permission to acces the medical history of their children.
- Parents and children are financially and timewise able to participate in treatment.*
The inclusion criterium 'Parents and children are financially and timewise able to participate in treatment' pertains to the commitment clients have to make when the participate in treatment. In advance it should be considered if the client has sufficient financial resources to cover for travel expenses to both treatment sites. Furthermore, schools and employers shold have givene permission to be absent weekly if necessary and at variable hours. In reaction to your comment on treatment and compensation it should be noted that AMEA-compensation (Exceptional Medical Expenses Act) order when referral has taken place through Bureau Jeugdzorg (family and youth social work) to the KJTC (Trauma centre for Youths) and trough a general practitioner to De Waag (outpatient forensic/psychiatric treatment).

Exclusion Criteria

The following exclusion criteria apply to treatment and therefore also to participating in the study:
- The guardian appointed by Child protective services (in Dutch: Bureau Jeugdzorg) cannot participate in (parts of) the treatment.
- Low intellectual functioning (IQ < 80) in parents or children.
- Insufficient ability to speak ur understand Dutch and no possibility to repeatedly collaborate with an interpreter.
- No motivation to change behavior patterns.
