Cancer is achronic disease condition that can affect the body metabolism and nutrition.Certain cancers affect muscle mass, body fat and reduce the energy levelsleading to cachexia, sarcopenia and fatigue. This study is to assess the nutritional status of cancer patientsusing abioelectric impedance analyzer (HBF-352, Omron Health care Co., Kyoto, Japan)and to study its correlation with a Cancer Related Fatigue Score.People with a diagnosis of cancer, seen in the out patientdepartment or admitted at Day Care for short procedures or treatment will beinvited to participate. After getting consent the subject’s nutritional statuswill be assessed. The Karada Scanner is a simple instrument that is usedto measures the patients’ anthropometry through bioelectricimpedance. We will administer a Standardized 12 point scale questionnaire toassess the Cancer Related Fatigue.

入选标准
- •All consenting consecutive patients with a physician diagnosis of any cancer over the age of 18 years being treated in outpatient care or admitted in day care for short stay.
排除标准
- •a)Patients in have a performance status of Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group 4 as assessed by the physician b)Patients with an implantable cardiac device – pacemakers, Implantable cardioverter defibrillators or any device known to be affected by a Bioelectric Impedance analyzer.
- •c)Previously participated in this study.
