简要总结

This research proposal evaluates the comparative acute effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) on autonomic recovery in male collegiate soccer players following submaximal aerobic exercise.Utilizing a randomized crossover controlled trial design, the study measures heart rate recovery (HRR) at 30 and 60 seconds post-exercise and analyzes heart rate variability (HRV) indices, such as RMSSD and the LF/HF ratio, to determine which modality better facilitates parasympathetic reactivation.Participants undergo a 20-minute treadmill protocol at 70% HRmax, followed by 20 minutes of either NMES, IPC, or a passive control session, with a 7–10 day washout period between visits.By addressing the current lack of comparative data for this specific athletic population, the findings aim to provide evidence-based guidance for sports physiotherapists to optimize recovery protocols and enhance athletic performance.
