The athletes participate in sports activity for at least two years and three times per week for a minimum of 2 hours each time? Male or female athlete between 18-40 years old? Athletes with acute first or second degree strain of hamstring; Pain evoked by resisted prone knee flexion and passive tension testing using? Participants are visited in sports physical therapy clinic within 72 hours after injury? Participants had no hypersensitivity or cold intolerance? participant had no sign of complete muscle disruption? no history of lower limb injury such as fracture or injury that required surgery within the past 6 months? No history of malignant or neurologic disease? No clinical finding showing radiculopathy? No hip flexor muscle shortness (as diagnose by Thomas test )? Participants agree not to take NSAID medication or receive any other form of treatment during the study.
Exclusion criteria: If the patient dose not complete the treatment program and missing the sessions. The patient will stop his/her program any time he/she wants.

Name Time Method Pain. Timepoint: On day 1 (before first treatment session) and day 6 (after fifth treatment session). Method of measurement: Visual Analog Scale (VAS).;Active and passive knee extension range of motion. Timepoint: On day 1 (before first treatment session) and day 6 (after fifth treatment session). Method of measurement: Knee extension test using inclinometer.;Functional status level. Timepoint: on day 1 (before first treatment session) and day 6 (after fifth treatment session). Method of measurement: Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS).
