Inclusion Criteria
Probing pocket depth (PPD) 5
Patients who have not
received periodontal therapy, within preceding 6 months.
Exclusion Criteria
Pregnant and lactating females.
Patients allergic to shell fish.
Patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.
Peptic ulcers.
Blood dycrasias.
Infected with HIV/AIDS.
Renal disorders.
Patients on similar medication.
Those on diuretics, steroid use, oral contraceptives or those addicted to tobacco.
