Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. CHILDREN AGED 2 YRS TO 10 YRS WITH THE DIAGNOSIS OF FUNCTIONAL CONSTIPATION BASED ON ROME 4 CRITERIA
- •2\. FAILURE OF EDUCATIONAL AND DIETARY INTERVENTIONS IMPLEMENTED FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE MONTH
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. PATIENTS THAT HAD USED MEDICATIONS THAT CAN AFFECT INTESTINAL MOTILITY SUCH AS LAXATIVES, PROBIOTICS OR PREBIOTICS IN THE FOUR WEEKS PRECEDING THE FIRST VISIT.
- •2\. PATIENTS WITH DEFECATION PROBLEMS OF AN ORGANIC AETIOLOGY.
- •3\. PATIENTS WITH PREVIOUS GASTROINTESTINAL SURGERY, KNOWN INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY, CEREBRAL PALSY.
- •4\. ALLERGIC TO POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL OR ANY OTHER ELECTROLYTES
