all patients undergoing elective surgery in surgical disciplines: urology, orthopedics, gynecology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, general surgery
Patients who cannot answer questions prior to induction of general anesthesia due to dementia, neurological impairment or language barriers.
Patients who cannot fulfill the recommended times or have prolonged times of preoperative fasting due to surgical indications.
Patients undergoing surgery other than in supine position.
Patients who haven't signed the broad consent on research with patient data.
