Comparison of different toothpastes to control sensitivity of teeth

Recruitment & Eligibility

Inclusion Criteria

1.Patients with age range 20-45 years

2.Participants with self-reported sensitivity in teeth

3.Patients with good general and oral health

4.Patients without known allergy to any commercial dental product

5.Patients with permanent teeth (buccal /facial aspects)

6.Patients responding to cold blast stimulus on SCASS with score >2

7.Patients responding to air blast stimulus and tactile stimulus on VAS with score >4

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patients with periodontal disease requiring aggressive treatment

2.Lactating and pregnant women

3.Medically compromised patients

4.Patients with neuromuscular disabilities

5.Teeth with crown or bridges

Primary Outcome Measures

To evaluate the effectiveness of dentifrices containing calcium sodium phosphosilicate (CSPS) in the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. <br/ ><br>To evaluate the effectiveness of dentifrices containing fluoro calcium phosphosilicate (FCPS) in the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. <br/ ><br>To evaluate the effectiveness of dentifrices containing potassium nitrate in the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. <br/ ><br>To evaluate the effectiveness of dentifrices containing potassium nitrate with fluoride in the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. <br/ ><br>To compare the effectiveness of fluoride containing & non fluoride containing anti dental hypersensitivity dentifrices with commonly used dentifrice by measuring pre & post operative dentin hypersensitivity using VAS and SCHIFF Scale. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 7th day, 15th day , 28th day , 60th day & 90th day <br/ ><br>
