Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •\-Primigravida
- •\-Maternal age \> 18 years old
- •\-Singleton
- •\-Term (gestational age 37 weeks, or more) and
- •\-Mother\-infant separation 6 to 48 hours after vaginal delivery.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Maternal conditions
- •\-HIV infection
- •\-Pulmonary tuberculosis
- •\-Heart disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, Postpartum depression
- •\-On medications ; antibiotics or chemotherapy
- •\-Infection around the breast and inverted nipple.
- •Infant conditions
- •\-Birth weight \> 4000 grams or \< 2000 grams
- •\-Neonatal resuscitation
- •\-Birth trauma
