  • •\- Chronic or recurrent treatment\-resistant depression, pre\-diagnosed and documented (uni\- or bipolar, currently depressed)
  • •\- Capable to give written informed consent
  • •Healthy controls:
  • •\- Capable to give written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- non\-affective psychotic disorder, currently or in the past
  • •\- Present or unstable substance abuse (except nicotine)
  • •Healthy controls:
  • •\- Current psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment
  • •\- Current psychiatric disorder
  • •\- Past psychotic disorder
  • •\- Substance abuse (except nicotine)
  • •\- Substantial somatic illness
