Inclusion Criteria

Righthandedness, either PNES or epileptic seizures

Exclusion Criteria

Relevant somatic diseases, illegal drugs, excessive drinking (> 14 units per week). Contraindication against a MRI study (pregnancy, ferromagnetic implants, etc.).

Primary Outcome Measures

Aim of the project is to study interoceptive processing and emotion regulation in patients with epileptic and non-epileptic seizures. We measure differences in neuronal activation (BOLD, blood oxygenation level dependent) related to interoceptive processing and emotion regulation, collected at one point in time.
Secondary Outcome Measures

Ratings performed by the patients during the fMRI task, as well as results from psychological questionnaires related to mood and life events, collected at one point in time.
