1.Jaundice and coagulopathy, complicated within 4 weeks by ascites and/or encephalopathy.
2.Evidence of chronic liver disease on history/examination/investigations
3.Jaundice [serum bilirubin >5 mg/dl]
4.Coagulopathy (INR >1.5/prothrombin activity <40%).
5.Complicated within 4 weeks by ascites and/or encephalopathy (as determined by clinical examination).
1.Previous episodes of Decompensated cirrhosis
2.Tropical infection related hepatopathy with high grade fever
3.Age of <1 year
4.Portal vein thrombosis
5.Severe sepsis/ Multi-organ failure at presentation
6.Grade 3 or 4 hepatic encephalopathy
7.HIV seropositive
8.Any previous known hypersensitivity to G-CSF
9.Any significant comorbidity
10. Refusal to participate in the study
