Inclusion Criteria

1.All known diagnosed cases of thalassemia major who are aged between 8-18 years visiting the OPD of Department of Pediatrics, KLEâ??S Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital and their parents

2.All known diagnosed cases of thalassemia major who are aged between 8-18 years and have received blood transfusions and admitted in hospital at two to four weeks intervals with or without iron chelation therapy and their parents

3.Willingness to participate

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patients who are known cases of other types of anemias requiring repeated blood transfusions or hospital admissions

2.Patients with intellectual disability and other neurological illnesses

3.Not willing to participate
