Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Impacted mandibular third molars with Pell and Gregory classification Class II or III and Level B or C on the radiograph and Pederson difficulty index of Moderately Difficult (5\-6\).
- •2\. Subjects would be healthy individuals, 18 years of age or older and with AHA score I.
- •3\. Subjects who would not require any prophylactic antibiotics or analgesics.
- •4\. Subjects who would be travelling within 10km radius of the hospital.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients with signs of active infection (fever/pus discharge/palpable and painful lymph nodes).
- •2\. Immunocompromised subjects.
- •3\. Medically compromised subjects (ASA score II, III, IV, V)
- •4\. History of allergy to the drug used.
- •5\. Pregnancy or lactation.
- •6\. Those who use other drugs during the observation period (anticoagulants/antiepileptics/steroids/antifungals/antibiotics/analgesics).
- •7\. Those who refuse to take part in the study or come for regular follow up.
