Inclusion Criteria
  • Patients diagnosed with primary pterygium.
  • Adults (18 years and older).
Exclusion Criteria
  • Patients with recurrent pterygium, severe ocular conditions, such as advanced glaucoma, corneal dystrophy, or significant ocular surface disease.
  • Combined surgical procedures at the time of surgery like trabeculectomy, cataract surgery.
  • Macular degeneration or any other retinal pathology were excluded.
  • With systemic connective tissue disorders.
  • Inability to give informed consent.
