Inclusion Criteria
- Patients diagnosed with primary pterygium.
- Adults (18 years and older).
Exclusion Criteria
- Patients with recurrent pterygium, severe ocular conditions, such as advanced glaucoma, corneal dystrophy, or significant ocular surface disease.
- Combined surgical procedures at the time of surgery like trabeculectomy, cataract surgery.
- Macular degeneration or any other retinal pathology were excluded.
- With systemic connective tissue disorders.
- Inability to give informed consent.
