Inclusion Criteria
1.Clinical criteria
•Age between 5-9 years.
•Development normal for age
•No defects in tooth formation.
•Two primary teeth with broad cavitated occlusal or cervical lesion with dentinal involvement & open access
•Carious lesion of medium hard consistency & light yellow to brown in colour.
2.Radiographic criteria
•lesion with clearly visible radiolucency extending into, but confined to outer dentine
Exclusion Criteria
•Presence of spontaneous pain symptomatolgy
•Teeth with pulpal involvement, furcation, periapical pathology or interproximal caries
•Any systemic disease or antibiotic use for at least 2 weeks prior to study
