Brief Summary

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by decrease insulin sensitivity and overall poor glucose tolerance .Diabetes is fast gaining the status of a potential epidemic in INDIA with more than 72 million diabetic individuals currently diagnosed with the disease ,figure expected to almost double to 134 million by 2025. the annual cost to treat diabetes is estimated to be rs 27400 per capita, which if constant would reach an annual 1.95 lac crore by 2025.

American diabetes association says that adoption and maintenance of physical activity are critical for blood glucose management and overall health in individuals with diabetes .

few explorations has been established in the field of strengthening and stretching effectiveness on blood glucose levels among patient with type 2 diabetes.

This study will give an insight to clinicians and patient community about the low cost therapeutic in blood glucose regulation among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus .

This experimental study has been designed to see the long term effectiveness of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation strengthening and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation  stretching on HbA1c and quality of life in patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus .the study protocol is of 12 weeks so that we can see the long term effect of protocol.

This study will give low cost exercise tool to patients .

Inclusion Criteria

Subjects with T2DM diagnosed by clinician Sedentary life style (Not involved in active sports , gym, yoga, before 6 months from study) Age group 35-55(both male and female ) HbA1c level above 6.5 Ready to adherent to diet chart.

Exclusion Criteria

Any other neurological disorder Recent musculoskeletal injury Involved in active sports Current insulin therapy Changes during the previous three months in: Oral hypoglycemic medication Anti hypertensive medication Lipid lowering medication.
