简要总结
Maintenance of health of healthy person is the primary aim of the Ayurvedic classics as mentioned in
Charaka Samhita. Arogya is dependend on Doshasamyata, Dhatu Samyata, Agni Samyata and Samyag
Malakriya. Aarogya is characterised by free from any Elements excellence of voice and complersion,
proper metabolism, high physical, and mental strength, desired for food with appeteting in proper time
and proper digestion, appropriate sleep without any dream, proper empulsion of flatus, urine, stool and
semen excellence in motor and sensory perception.
On giving importance to Jatharagni Acharya Charak has mentioned its povital role in maintaining
health and longevity. Sustaining of life is depends on Jatharagni as the cessation of Agni leads to the
death of an individual.
Acharya Sushruta’s perspective underscores the close relationship between Pitta and Agni in Ayurveda.
He suggests that Pitta, one of the three doshas, is intimately linked to the concept of Agni within the
body.
Ayurveda categorizes Agni into three major types based on their locations and substrates they act upon:
Raktagni, a subtype of Dhatvagni (tissue metabolism), is responsible for the digestion and metabolism
of Rakta dhatu. Ranjak Pitta works in conjunction with Raktagni, simultaneously aiding in the
formation and maintenance of Rakta Dhatu. This collaboration between Raktagni and Ranjak Pitta
highlights the intricate interplay between digestive fire (jatharagni) and the formation of blood tissue
(Rakta Dhatu) in Ayurveda. So in depletion of Rakta Dhatu, known as Raktakshaya, lead to Mandagni,
or low digestive fire.
Raktakshaya symptoms according to Acharya Charak are Parusha, Sfutita, Mlana, Twagruksha, Rakta
Sankshaye and according to Acharya Sushruta are Shonita Kshaye, Twak Parushya, Amla
Shitaprarthna, Sirasaithilya.
Raktkshaya co-related with the anaemia, particularly nutritional deficiency anaemia, where the
haemoglobin level in the blood is diminished from normal.
Mulethi possesses the qualities like Madhura in rasa and Vipak, guru, Snigdha in Guna, Seeta in
Virya8& Sonitasthapak.
According to old researches, a lot of work has been done related to Rakta Dhatu and it’s Kshaya
(Raktalpata). The critical need for research to show how Rakta Dhatu Kshaya affects the digestive
power or jatharagni. It is important to study as various diseases are originated from Mandagni. In India
Raktadhatu Kshaya or anaemic patient seen more and more. According to the national family health
survey (NFHS – 5) about 40 % of women & 18.9% of men are moderately anaemic, 1% of both are
severely anaemic. Prevalence of anaemia in India rural areas (women 58.5%, men 27.4%) is highly than
urban areas (women 53.8%, men 20.4%)10, Prevalence of Anaemia in Chhattisgarh rural areas (women
62.2%, men 28.9%) and urban areas (women 56.5%, men 22.5%)10. Most of the anaemia are due to
inadequate supply of nutrients like iron, folic acid and vitamin B12, A, C, etc. Most cases of anaemia
are linked to deficiencies in essential nutrients like iron, folic acid, amino acids, and various vitamins.
It suggests that Rakta Dhatu Kshaya can be prevented through proper nutrition and adherence to the
principles of Pathya Ahara-Vihara, as prescribed in Ayurveda.
Mulethi is Madhu in Rasa, Guru, Snigdha in Guna, Madhur in Vipaka, Sheet Virya and Shonita Sthapak
it can be increases blood and Jatharagni simultaneously. So I choose this topic to establish the relation
of Rakta dhatu and Jatharagni.
