Inclusion Criteria

Mothers who delivers twins vaginally or by cesarean section after 35 weeks of gestation

Willing to participate in the study

Mothers who stays in hospital for 4 days after delivery

Willing to breastfeed the twins with both the breastfeeding technique( single and tandem)

Mothers who practice exclusive breastfeeding

Newborns with good sucking reflex.

Exclusion Criteria

Mothers babies with uncoordinated sucking and swallowing reflex (preterm babies less than 35 weeks, low birth babies below 1.8kg with poor sucking reflexes)

Mothers who have ill babies.( on phototherapy for long duration, congenital disease admitted in NICU, one baby in NICU )

Twins on feed other than breastmilk (formula feed, cowâ??s milk)

Mother unable to breastfeed due to illness.(Poor general condition, psychiatric illness)

Maternal Infectious Disease(Cytomegalovirus ,Herpes, HIV , Human T-Lymphotropic Virus type 1 or 2 infection, Tuberculosis , Hepatitis B, C)

Mother on drugs-(Bromocriptine, Antineoplastic agents, immunosuppressant, Ergotamine, Lithium, Drugs of abuse, Chemotherapy agents, Primaquine and Quinine, Metronidazole, Sulfa drugs, Radioactive isotope.
