Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Multiloculated empyema
  • Trapped lung
  • Inadequate drainage of empyema despite chest tube
  • Persistent bronchopleural fistula with collapsed lungPatient diagnosed to have chronic kidney disease with or without haemodialysis/ peritoneal dialysis

Exclusion Criteria

  • Empyema secondary to oesophageal rupture, tuberculosis, mediastinitis, fungal infection, post traumatic Post\-operative empyema
