Inclusion Criteria
- •Patient group: the subjects were diagnosed as having carpal tunnel syndrome via electrodiagnostic testing.
- •Control group: individuals without any carpal tunnel syndrom\-related symptoms or abnormal findings at elctrodiagnostic testing
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) central nervous system lesion affecting the hands
- •2\) concomitant lower cervical radiculopathy or other peripheral nerve lesions
- •3\) peripheral vascular disease
- •4\) arthritis in the hand and wrist
- •5\) previous surgical history in the wrist or hand
- •6\) systemic disease, such as tumors, thyroid diseases, fibromyalgia, and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (glycosylated hemoglobin \>9%)
