by treating consultant (resolving disease,
adequate gas exchange, stable
hemodynamics).
4.Patient on CPAP/PS mode and successfully
passed Spontaneous breathing trail.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method . To determine the predictive values of p0.1, parasternal intercostal muscle and diaphragm thickness in successful extubation from mechanical ventilation.

. TO evaluate relation between the parasternal intercostal muscle thickness and the diaphragm thickness in mechanically ventilated patients planned for extubation.

Timepoint: Half hour before extubation Extubation
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Co relation of values of p0.1, parasternal muscle and diaphragm thickness with length of icu stay.

Co relation of values of p0.1, parasternal muscle and diaphragm thickness with re-intubation outcome.

Timepoint: total length of ICU stay
