1. Patients suitable for ambulatory anorectal surgery (EUA and LOF+/- seton, hemorrhoidectomy, Sphincterotomy, Intersphincteric abscess drainage, etc)
2. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II
1. Patients with chronic backache, spinal deformities, history of prolapsed intervertebral disc
2. Patients with a known history of allergy to the drugs used in the study
3. Patients with cardiac disease
4. Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia
5. Patients of ASA grade 3,4 & 5
6. Obese patient with mouth opening < 2 fingers or difficult airway
7. Lack of patientâ??s consent for either technique
8. Height- extremely short or tall
