简要总结
Out of initially 29 patients, 18 patients and 33 restorations could be included in the survival analysis revealing a cumulative survival of 73.3% for CGPC and of 55.6% for PCC, without statistically significant differences. Regarding FDI- and USPHS-criteria, 19 restorations (11 patients) were examined after a median (25-75%) observation period of 238 (236-242) months (19.9 years). Within these 11 patients, 10 CGPC and 9 PCCs were still in service. All available restorations showed ratings within the acceptable range exclusively (USPHS: Alpha and Bravo except for secondary caries, FDI-ratings 1-3). For USPHS-criteria surface luster (p=0.002) and marginal discoloration (p=0.02), both CGPCs and PCCs, revealed significant deterioration over time. Additionally, marginal adaptation of PCCs deteriorated over time (p<0.001) and was found significantly worse than of CGPCs at 20-years (p=0.003). In FDI-criteria, CGPCs performed significantly better regarding surface staining (A2a; p=0.047) and marginal adaptation (B6; p=0.01) compared to PCCs.

入选标准
- •Patients that were included in the initial study (Please also see https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16614863/). Patients had to present two large defects of the dental hard tissues suitable for restoration with CGPCs or PCCs and exhibit a moderate to good level of oral hygiene as represented by a papillary bleeding index (PBI) = 35% (Saxer and Mühlemann 1975). Furthermore, the teeth to be restored had to be free of any symptoms of pain, show tooth mobility less or equal grade I (i.e., mobility discernible, but not visible), and the application of rubber dam isolation had to be possible for insertion of PCCs.
排除标准
- •Patients not meeting at least one of the inclusion criteria.
