Inclusion Criteria

1. All patients above 18 years of age of both sexes who give informed consent.

2. Proven cases of Rheumatoid arthritis as aided by the 2010 EULAR criteria.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Subjects receiving: Vitamin D, calcium, calcitonin, bisphosphonate, oestrogen supplementation, anti-epileptic drugs, thyroxine, steroids in the last 6 months.

2. Subjects having known pathologies interfering with calcium metabolism such as hyperparathyroidism or hypoparathyroidism.

3. Renal failure patients.

4. Patients with known granulomatous diseases like sarcoidosis.
