Compared group
1. Admitted patients who were diagnosed as sepsis (sepsis, severe sepsis, septic shock)
2. Sepsis patients who were diagnosed as sepsis induced myocardial dysfunction
3. Aged 20-100 years during sepsis
Controlled group
1. Admitted patients who were diagnosed as sepsis (sepsis, severe sepsis, septic shock)
2. Aged 20-100 years during sepsis
1. Not fulfill criteria of sepsis from Sepsis-3 definition
2. Prior history of reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (< 40%)
3. Concurrent acute myocardial infarction
4. Echocardiogram shows stress induced cardiomyopathy
5. History of prior medications or drugs which can cause myocardial dysfunction such as doxorubicin, trastuzumab, amphetamine
6. Cardiac arrest in admission
