Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Compared group
  • •1\. Admitted patients who were diagnosed as sepsis (sepsis, severe sepsis, septic shock)
  • •2\. Sepsis patients who were diagnosed as sepsis induced myocardial dysfunction
  • •3\. Aged 20\-100 years during sepsis
  • •Controlled group
  • •1\. Admitted patients who were diagnosed as sepsis (sepsis, severe sepsis, septic shock)
  • •2\. Aged 20\-100 years during sepsis

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Not fulfill criteria of sepsis from Sepsis\-3 definition
  • •2\. Prior history of reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (\< 40%)
  • •3\. Concurrent acute myocardial infarction
  • •4\. Echocardiogram shows stress induced cardiomyopathy
  • •5\. History of prior medications or drugs which can cause myocardial dysfunction such as doxorubicin, trastuzumab, amphetamine
  • •6\. Cardiac arrest in admission
