Patients diagnosed with generalized periodontitis as per World Workshop Classification criteria - 2017 with age group of 30-55 years, who had not received periodontal therapy, within preceding six months with periodontal pocket depth of = 5mm after phase I periodontal therapy and presence of 2-or 3-walled intra-bony defects (IBDs) with radiographic depth =3mm and platelet count more than 2,00,000/mm3.
Smokers, alcoholics, pregnant, lactating females, post-menopausal women, patients with vitamin D deficiency, systemically compromised patients and those on medications (corticosteroids/ bisphosphonate, statin therapy, blood thinners) that may interfere with wound healing, patients with grade II and grade III tooth mobility.
