•Age 18 yrs or more
•Scheduled to visit the pre anaesthesia check clinic at Tata Memorial Hospital
•Postoperative patients who have undergone surgery under anaesthesia at Tata Memorial Hospital prior to discharge from hospital

•Any patient under the age of 18 years
•Patients who are not willing to participate in the study
•Patients post head and neck surgery or any procedure that interferes with their ability to communicate eg. neurosurgery, need for elective postoperative intubation and /or ventilation, patients with tracheostomy.
•Psychiatric patients, patients using psychoactive drugs
•Patients who are unable to comprehend the questions (due to language barrier, etc.)
