Age group between 30-60 years
Irrespective of sex
Plantar heel pain provoked by first few steps in morning,by standing after prolonged sitting or by prolonged standing. Tenderness localised at the origin of plantar fascia on medial calcaneal tubercle
Calcaneal stress fracture.
Calcaneal spur
Previous treatment with ultrasound within 3 months
Previous foot surgeries.
Tarsal tunnel syndrome.
•Generalised inflammatory disorders associated with diagnosis of plantar fascitis including Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosis Spondylitis,Reiterâ??s disease,Gout or Lupus.
•Neoplastic conditions,Nerve entrapment syndromes
•Partcipants with impaired circulation to lower extremities
•Subjects with referred pain due to psiatica and other neurologic disorders
•Corticosteroid injections to heel, preceeding 3 months.
•Use of pain control (NSAIDS,Analagesics), steroids, heel pads or orthoses at time of recruitment.
•Contraindicated persons for Raktamokshana[31]
