Study Overview
Brief Summary
Asthma is a substantial global health problem, with increasing prevalence rates in many countries. According to World Health Organization (WHO) estimates, 300 million people have asthma and 255000 died of asthma in 2005; over 80% of asthma deaths occur in low- and lower-middle-income countries. Prevalence in India- It has previously been estimated that the prevalence of asthma in India is about 3% (30 million patients) with a prevalence of 2.4% in adults aged >15 years, and between 4% and 20% in children. In 2004, it was estimated that 57 000 deaths in India were attributed to asthma; it is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in rural India and is projected to increase in the coming decades.

Eligibility Criteria

- 19.00 Year(s) to 60.00 Year(s) (—)
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients having classical signs and symptoms of Tamakashwasa in Avegavastha and symptoms of mild to moderate nature.
- •Patients with known case of Bronchial Asthma having signs and symptoms of mild to moderate nature from more than one year.
- •PEFR more than 300 liters per min
- •Age: 19 to 60 Years.
- •Gender: Irrespective to gender.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Pregnant woman Lactating mothers .
- •Cardiac Asthma, Uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension
- •Patients taking Inhaler daily will be excluded.
- •Patient of Tamakshwasa with secondary infections.
- •Patient suffering from systemic disorders like Tuberculosis, Emphysema, Cor-Pulmonale, etc.
