Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Achieved developmental milestone of at least sitting up without support
  • Patients tolerating and practicing sham feed for a minimum of three months
  • Weighting 8kg and above
  • Patients with either Pure esophageal atresia or LGEA with a diversion in the neonatal period.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Esophageal replacement with conduit other than the stomach
  • Associated major congenital cardiac anomalies requiring cardiac/cardiothoracic intervention
  • Associated with major developmental delay requiring neurological intervention
  • Patients requiring replacement for caustic/acid injuries
